Tom Delonge of Blink-182

This is an old work in progress that I did of Tom Delonge from the band blink-182.

Blink-182 were huge to me growing up and Tom especially was a massive inspiration.

Portraits are not my forte and so there are a lot of mistakes in this drawing, but at the time it was the first drawing of a person I had done in about two years.

Here is the final piece:

This was the first drawing that I did when I decided to get back into art. It was also the first drawing which highlighted how much I love using ink and dot work.

Welcome to my new art/my general life blog! My name is Laura and I have decided to create this blog to get my drawings/paintings/doodles out there, along with any other creative things I find along the way.

For years I have been studying law in order to become a barrister, which has meant that for the past four years I have never had any time to draw. Since leaving university I have decided to give it another go and have created this blog for the journey.

Over the next few posts I'll publish some art that I have managed to do in the past. After that, I'll post any current things I'm working on!
